Drivers can only go in the direction indicated by the sign and any road markings for their traffic lane. A curved arrow and the word "ONLY" tells road users driving in the indicated lane that they must turn in the direction of the arrow. A lane with both a curved and straight arrow indicates that drivers may either turn or go straight.

• require road users to stay in the same lane and proceed straight through an intersection
• permit turns from a lane where such turns would otherwise not be permitted
• indicate permitted movements from a lane
