NH CDL AIR BRAKES PRACTICE TEST

The air brakes endorsement applies to applicants who wish to drive a vehicle with air brakes in Class A, B, or C CDL. To drive a vehicle with air brakes, you must pass the air brake component of the New Hampshire CDL knowledge test. The NH CDL air brakes test consists of 25 questions, and you'll need at least 20 correct answers to pass (80%). The test covers the information found in the air brakes section of the New Hampshire CDL Manual. Take this NH CDL practice test now to prepare for the actual air brakes test!
1. If you are feeling sleepy, you should:
slow down.
get some coffee.
pull off the road and rest.
drive faster.
2. Air storage tanks:
are installed in the first tank the air compressor pumps air to.
use parts of the service brake systems to stop the vehicle in a brake system failure.
pump air into the air storage tanks.
hold compressed air for the brakes.
3. If you get stuck on railroad tracks, you should:
get out of the vehicle and away from the tracks.
have a helper push your vehicle.
stay in the vehicle and call for help.
check the engine compartment quickly.
4. When backing, you should:
use the mirrors on both sides.
back and turn toward the right side whenever possible.
only use mirror on the driver's side.
back quickly.
5. Front wheel braking is good:
Never.
only in good weather.
under all conditions.
only in wet conditions.
