In Texas, all CDL applicants must pass the Special Requirements Test before they are permitted to take any other CDL test. The test is based on the information found in Section 14 of the Texas CDL Handbook. The Special Requirements Test consists of 20 multiple-choice questions, and you’ll need to correctly answer at least 16 questions (80%) to pass.
