The passenger endorsement applies to drivers who want to drive a bus in any Class A, B, or C CDL. Applicants must pass a special knowledge test, and must pass skills tests in a passenger vehicle. The Michigan CDL passenger test consists of 20 questions. To pass, you must correctly answer at least 16 questions (80%). The MI passenger test covers the following sections of the Michigan CDL Manual: Driving Safely, Transporting Passengers, Vehicle Inspection Test, Basic Control Skills Test and Road Test. 1.
If your vehicle is hydroplaning, you should:
speed up.

|
put the vehicle in reverse.
|
|
stay off the brake.
|

If the engine catches fire, you should:
avoid shooting foam from the vehicle's underside.
|
|
open the hood as soon as you can.
|
|
turn off the engine as soon as you can.
|
3.
When driving on slippery roads, you should NOT:
try to anticipate stops early.

|
use the engine brake.
|
|
go slowly.
|
4.
To correct a drive-wheel braking skid, you should:
stop braking.
|
|
accelerate.
|
|
apply the brakes and turn in the direction of the skid.
|
5.
Buses must never carry:
emergency hospital supplies.
|
|
small arms ammunition labeled ORM-D.
|
|
irritating material.
|
6.
If a worker is close to the roadway in a work zone, you should:
drive at the posted speed limit.
|
|
reduce your speed below the posted speed limit.
|
|
pull off the road and stop.
|
7.
Buses must never carry:
small arms ammunition.
|
|
hospital supplies.
|
|
radioactive materials.
|
8.
When arriving at a destination, it is best to tell passengers to take their carry-ons with them:
as they get off the bus.

|
after stopping.
|
|
before coming to a complete stop.

If you realize you are going to be later to your destination than you expected, you should:
do your best to avoid the delay.

|
speed up.

deal with it and accept the delay.

10.
If you're feeling tired while driving you should:
drink coffee.

eat something.

stop driving and get some rest.
