Riding a motorcycle requires special skills and knowledge. To earn your motorcycle license in Maryland, you must pass a knowledge test and an on-cycle skill test. The Maryland Motorcycle Handbook provides the information needed to enable you to obtain a motorcycle license. The knowledge test is designed to check your knowledge of traffic laws, road rules and safe driving practices.
