WASHINGTON MOTORCYCLE WRITTEN TEST

To add an endorsement to your license in Washington State, you must pass both a knowledge and a skills test. Knowledge test questions are based on the information from the Washington State Motorcycle Manual. They require that you know and understand driving laws, road rules and safe riding practices, as well as information specific to two-wheeled vehicles. The written motorcycle test consists of 25 questions, and you'll need at least 20 correct answers to pass.
1. If your motorcycle starts to wobble, do NOT:
accelerate out of the wobble.
grip the handlebars firmly.
leave the road as soon as you can.
roll off the throttle.
2. When approaching turns or curves, riders should travel:
in a staggered formation.
in pairs.
in a T-formation.
single file.
3. Rolling on the throttle through a turn:
helps stabilize suspension.
causes the motorcycle to slip.
is extremely dangerous and should be avoided.
is the best way to handle tailgaters.
4. When you carry loads, you should:
stop and check the load every so often.
