WA MOTORCYCLE LICENSE TEST

To add an endorsement to your license in Washington State, you must pass both a knowledge and a skills test. Knowledge test questions are based on the information from the Washington State Motorcycle Manual. They require that you know and understand driving laws, road rules and safe riding practices, as well as information specific to two-wheeled vehicles. The written motorcycle test consists of 25 questions, and you'll need at least 20 correct answers to pass.
1. Your lane position should:
communicate your intentions.
All the other answers are correct.
increase your ability to see and be seen.
avoid surface hazards.
2. You should use only the front brake:
At all times.
when you need to stop quickly.
on surfaces with poor traction.
if your rear tire goes flat.
3. The best colors for being seen are:
red and black.
dark colors in general.
orange, red, yellow or green.
black and white.
4. The three steps of the SEE strategy are:
Search, Examine, Execute.
Search, Evaluate, Execute.
See, Execute, Examine.
Signal, Execute, Evaluate.
5. When riding at night you should:
increase your following distance.
reduce your speed.
use other lights (including vehicles ahead).
