The Arkansas CDL combination test consists of 20 questions, and you'll need at least 16 correct answers to pass (80%). The test covers the combination vehicles section of the Arkansas CDL Manual. Here are the age requirements to obtain a driver's license in Arkansas:
  • Instruction permit ? you need to be at least 14 years old.

The Arkansas DMV written test consists of 25 questions about various aspects of road rules and safe driving practices. These questions are based on the official manual, so it's important to study it well to maximize your chances of passing the exam.
To pass the exam, you need a score of 80% or higher. You should get at least 20 questions right, and you're allowed to miss up to 5 questions out of the total 25. Stay focused and take the time to read the questions carefully.
Drivers between 14 and 16 years old:
  • Must be accompanied by a licensed driver aged at least 21.
  • Must wear seat belts.
  • Are prohibited to use a cell phone, except for emergencies.

These restrictions continue until the applicant turns 16 and completes six months of restricted driving.

Drivers aged 16 to 18 with an intermediate license:
  • Should not operate a vehicle with more than one unrelated minor passenger, unless accompanied by a licensed driver aged 21 or older, seated in the front.
  • Cannot operate between 11:00 pm and 4:00 am unless accompanied by a licensed driver aged 21 or older. Exceptions include driving to and from school activities, church activities, work, or in emergencies.

In Arkansas, an instruction permit is valid for a period of two years and cannot be renewed. Use this time to practice driving before the road test and consider enrolling in a driver training course to enhance your skills and abilities.
