INDIANA MOTORCYCLE LICENSE TEST

To earn your motorcycle license in Indiana, you must pass both a knowledge test and an on-cycle skill test. Knowledge test questions are based on information from the Indiana Motorcycle Manual. They require that you know and understand road rules and safe riding practices. The knowledge examination consists of 25 questions, and 21 correct answers are required to pass.
1. If your front tire goes flat while riding, and breaking is required, you should:
use the front brake and, when the motorcycle slows, ride to the side of the road.
use the rear brake and, when the motorcycle slows, ride to the side of the road.
immediately operate the the engine cut-off switch and stop.
use both brakes and ride to the side of the road.
2. When riding with passengers, as you approach a stop you should:
maintain a smaller space cushion around you.
tell the passenger to put their feet on the ground.
start slowing earlier.
wait for a small gap to cross, enter, or merge in traffic.
3. You should use only the front brake:
At all times.
on surfaces with poor traction.
if your rear tire goes flat.
when you need to stop quickly.
4. Where is a crash most likely to occur?
In residential areas.
On multi-lane roads.
In school zones.
At intersections.
5. To know what is going on behind you:
decrease your speed and  scan the environment ahead of you.
check your side mirrors frequently.
pull off the road and check.
slow down and look around.
