Riding a motorcycle requires special skills and knowledge. To earn your motorcycle license in Maryland, you must pass a knowledge test and an on-cycle skill test. The Maryland Motorcycle Handbook provides the information needed to enable you to obtain a motorcycle license. The knowledge test is designed to check your knowledge of traffic laws, road rules and safe driving practices. The test consists of 25 questions, and you'll need at least 21 correct answers to pass (84%).
1. To turn your motorcycle, press on the handgrip in the direction of the turn and:
pull in the clutch.
lean in the same direction.
look straight ahead.
keep your body straight.
2. To carry cargo in your motorcycle's saddlebags:
Load saddlebags with about the same weight.
use ropes to secure the load.
All the other answers are correct.
make sure both saddlebags are full.
3. When preparing to pass the vehicle ahead, increase your line of sight by:
staying in the center lane position.
riding in the left lane position.
reducing your speed.
getting the tailgater in front of you.
4. When you are being passed from behind, avoid being hit by:
objects thrown from windows.
extended side mirrors.
blasts of wind from larger vehicles.
