Prior to applying for a Massachusetts Motorcycle License (“Class M”) you must obtain a learner’s permit. To obtain a learner’s permit, you must be at least sixteen 16, complete an application, present valid identification, pay a fee, and pass a knowledge test. The Massachusetts motorcycle test consists of 25 questions. To pass, you must get a score of 18 (72%) or more. The test will cover the information from the Massachusetts Motorcycle Manual.
