Safely pulling double and triple trailers requires knowledge and skill. If you want to pull double or triple trailers, you must add the Doubles/Triples (T) endorsement to your Class A CDL. The Missouri doubles triples test consists of 20 questions. To pass, you must correctly answer at least 16 questions (80%). If your vehicle has air brakes, to check that air flows to all trailers:

watch each trailer’s air gauge for a drop of 25 psi.

pull gently on the trailer with the tractor.

For new drivers in Missouri, there are specific restrictions based on their age:
Instruction permit:

Intermediate license:

- You cannot drive alone from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m., except for school/job activities or emergencies, unless accompanied by a licensed driver who is at least 21 years old.
A Missouri instruction permit is valid for 12 months and can be renewed. To renew, provide proof of identity and Missouri residency at any Missouri license office, and pay for a duplicate permit.
