To earn your motorcycle license in Nevada, you must pass a knowledge test and an on-cycle skill test. Knowledge test questions are based on information from the Nevada Motorcycle Manual. They require that you know and understand driving laws, road rules and safe riding practices. The Nevada motorcycle test consists of 25 questions. To pass you must correctly answer at least 20 questions (80%).
1. When you are properly seated on a motorcycle, your arms should be:
at a 90-degree angle.
positioned with your elbows locked.
positioned with your hands above your elbows.
bent slightly.
2. To avoid fatigue:
take frequent rest breaks.
do not ride at night.
apply both brakes at the same time.
drink a lot of coffee.
3. What lane position should you ride in when you are being passed from behind?
Center
Center or left
Left or right
Left
4. Handlebars should be adjusted so:
your hands are above your elbows.
you can lock the rear brake more easily.
All the other answers are correct.
your hands are even with or below your elbows.
5. You should operate the engine cut-off switch and pull in the clutch when:
the motorcycle starts to wobble.
you start to lose control in a curve.
a tire goes flat.
the throttle is stuck and you cannot free it.
