NM MOTORCYCLE LICENSE TEST

To earn your motorcycle license in New Mexico, you must pass a knowledge test and an on-cycle skills test. Knowledge test questions are based on information from the New Mexico Motorcycle Operator Manual. They require that you know and understand road rules and safe riding practices. The New Mexico motorcycle test consists of 25 questions. To pass you must correctly answer at least 20 questions (80%).
1. The brake hydraulic fluid and coolant level should be checked:
every month.
every week.
once a year.
every day.
2. Braking distance is:
usually 100 feet.
the total distance a vehicle has traveled until it comes to a complete stop.
how far a vehicle will travel, in ideal conditions, while the driver is braking.
how far a vehicle will continue to travel before the driver hits the brakes.
3. To keep other vehicles from sharing your lane:
change lanes often.
ride closer to the center portion of the lane.
sound your horn.
flash your brake light.
4. The best way to prevent and overcome fatigue while riding is to:
take frequent rest breaks.
avoid using windshields.
get used to riding more than eight hours a day.
drink coffee at least every two hours.
5. If you are chased by a dog:
swerve around the animal.
kick it away.
stop until the animal loses interest.
approach the animal slowly, then speed up.
