As a motorcyclist in North Dakota, you are subject to the same rules of the road as other motorists, as well as special laws for motorcycles. To earn your motorcycle license in North Dakota, you must pass a knowledge test and an on-cycle skills test. The knowledge test questions cover content in the North Dakota Motorcycle Manual. They require that you know and understand road rules, driving laws and safe riding practices. The North Dakota motorcycle test consists of 25 questions, and you'll need at least 20 correct answers to pass (80%).
