If you live in Vermont and plan to drive in Vermont, you must obtain a Vermont driver's license or learner’s permit. To get a driver’s license, you must pass a vision, knowledge and driving test. The knowledge test has 20 multiple choice questions, based on the material in the Vermont DMV Driver’s Manual.
