operate the engine cut-off switch, then pull in the clutch.

apply both brakes firmly.

immediately operate the engine cut-off switch and pull in the clutch at the same time.

immediately pull off and stop.

If you are chased by a dog:

approach the animal slowly, then speed
up.

swerve around the animal.
