To earn your motorcycle license in North Carolina, you must pass a knowledge test and an on-cycle skills test. The knowledge test questions cover content in the North Carolina Motorcycle Handbook. They require that you know and understand road rules, driving laws and safe riding practices. The North Carolina motorcycle test consists of 25 questions. A score of at least 20 (80%) is required to pass.
1. If your motorcycle starts to wobble:
Accelerate out of the wobble.
Downshift.
Grip the handlebars firmly and close the throttle gradually.
Use the brakes gradually.
2. When you carry loads, you should:
fasten the load securely.
stop and check the load every so often.
distribute the load evenly.
All the other answers are correct.
3. When parking at the roadside, park:
with your front wheel touching the curb.
parallel to the curb.
on the curb.
with your rear wheel touching the curb.
4. Gravel, steel plates and lane markings:
all provide excellent traction.
all provide better traction than wet pavement.
