If you take the wrong exit on an expressway, continue off the expressway - do not stop, back up, or attempt to turn around on the exit ramp or any part of the highway. This is extremely dangerous. Once you’ve exited safely, look for signs that direct you to a nearby on-ramp to re-enter the expressway. If you need to check your phone or GPS to recalculate your route, make sure to pull over in a safe location before doing so.
