Explanation
Before passing, always check ahead and behind to ensure you can pass safely. You must signal before moving into the left lane. Do not pass in the following situations: where there is a single solid line or a double solid line dividing lanes; when the double yellow line is solid in your lane; on a curve or hill where you cannot clearly see the road ahead; within 100 feet of an intersection, underpass, bridge, railroad crossing, or tunnel; at crosswalks where a vehicle has stopped to let a pedestrian cross; or when a school bus is stopped with its warning flashers on and stop sign extended.
