COLORADO DMV TEST

Any person who operates a motor vehicle, motorcycle or moped on the public streets and highways in Colorado is required to be at least 16 years of age and have a valid driver’s license or learner’s permit. Applicants are required to pass all required examinations (physical, vision, written test and/or driving test) and pay the required fees. The Colorado DMV knowledge test questions will cover the contents of the Colorado Driver Manual including road signs, driving rules, safety rules and legal items. The CO DMV written test consists of 25 questions. To pass, you must correctly answer at least 20 questions (80%).
1. If you see this sign above your lane, you:
exit only
May stay in this lane and continue through the interchange.
May not exit the freeway in this lane.
May continue through the interchange or exit the freeway in this lane.
Must exit the freeway if you stay in this lane.
2. When is it safe to pass another vehicle?
When you feel confident enough to do so.
When you are entering a curve and there are no oncoming vehicles.
When you are driving through an intersection and there are no oncoming vehicles.
When signs and/or markings permit passing other vehicles.
3. Worn tires:
May cause you to hydroplane even with very little water on the road.
Can make turning more difficult.
Can increase your stopping distance.
All of the above.
4. Before you change lanes, you should check your mirrors and:
Quickly pump your brakes.
Sound your horn to alert the other drivers.
Look over your shoulder.
Never look over your shoulder.
5. When sharing the road with a light rail vehicle:
Remember, they are loud and move slowly, like freight trains.
You can drive in the lanes reserved for light rail vehicles.
Never turn in front of an approaching light rail vehicle.
Always pass a light rail vehicle slowly on the right.
