Explanation
When you want to pass a vehicle traveling in the same direction, always signal that you are about to change lanes, and make sure you have time and room to get all the way in front of the vehicle you are passing. Do not return to the lane on the right until you can see the entire front or both headlights of the vehicle you have just passed.
