To drive in Wyoming, you must have a valid driver’s license, instruction permit, intermediate license or restricted license. To obtain a Wyoming driver’s license, you must pass a vision screening, a written test and a driving test. The Wyoming written test covers the contents of the Wyoming Driver's Manual, and includes questions on road signs and signals, pavement markings, road rules, and safe driving practices. The WY DOT knowledge test consists of 25 questions, and you'll need at least 20 correct answers to pass (80%). Practice with this sample test to get ready for the official Wyoming DOT test.
1. On a two-lane road, you should:
Keep a minimum following distance of 30 seconds.
Overtake and pass other vehicles only when a solid yellow line is painted on your side of the center line.
Overtake and pass another vehicle only to the left of the vehicle.
2. This sign means:

Apply the brakes firmly and turn the front wheels sharply to the right to steer back onto the pavement.
Grip the steering wheel tightly, slowly take your foot off the accelerator, and gently apply the brakes. Check for traffic behind you, gently steer back onto the pavement.
Hold the steering wheel tightly and shift into neutral to bring the front of the vehicle back in line.
5. A traffic light displaying a green arrow and a red light means that:
Vehicles moving in any direction must stop.
You may drive only in the direction of the green arrow.
You may only drive straight ahead.
