Every resident of Utah who drives a motor vehicle on any public roadway must have a valid Utah driver license or learner's permit. To get a driver’s license, you must pass a vision, written and driving test. The Utah DMV written test covers the information found in the Utah Driver's Manual, and will include questions on road signs, road rules, safe driving practices, traffic laws, license sanctions, as well as questions specific to the class of license you are applying for. The Utah DMV knowledge test consists of 25 questions, and you'll need at least 20 correct answers to pass (80% or higher).
